Launcher

Robonic MC2555LLRUA Launcher

CCUVS has a state-of-the-art launcher for unmanned aircraft. Funded by the Federal Government through the Western Ecocomic Diversfiication programme, this launcher is available for research and development and for other launching purposes. It is fully civilianized, conforming to Government of Alberta standards. It is transported on a flatbed or in a 20’ ISO container. For local deployment it can be towed.

The launcher can also be used on-board ship and deploys to Canada’s Pacific coast for trials and development. The launcher can be used with a very wide range of unmanned aircraft up to a take-off weight of some 250kg with launch velocities programmable up to 55m/s. The only special work required for use with a particular unmanned aircraft is the construction of a relatively simple adapter to match the airframe to the launch rail. Use of this valuable asset must be booked well in advance. It can be made available throughout Canada.
